In the 4th December, 2006, Crash Bandicoot became available as a downloadable game for in the PlayStation Store (an online service accessible through the PS3). The game is a direct port, so no changes were made to it. Players looking forward to playing this game should download it with and for the PS3 (at a cost of $5.99/£3.99). Optionally, it can later be transferred to the PSP via USB (which then gets stored in the PSP's Memory Stick, ready to be played). This game was included in the first batch to be part of this service, along with Tekken 2, Cool Boarders, Syphon Filter and Hot Shots Golf 2.
Crash Bandicoot was also re-released as one of the launch titles for PlayStation Mobile, a software framework that is supported mostly by specific Android devices and the PlayStation Vita.
