Special Thanks
I would like to extend a very special thanks to some great friends and generous developers for their invaluable help:
- Amaze Entertainment: The developers of Crash of the Titans for the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance were cool enough to not only participate in a couple of interviews, but also lend exclusive pictures of their games to the site. A shout-out to Mike Platteter, Alex Mickus, and Brian Kirkness, the 3 caballeros who did some of the first interviews ever in the site.
- Alen "CakeDoer": A good friend and a screenshot expert who's been helping me for longer than I can remember. It's thanks to him that you can see some of the beautiful HD screenshots and character models on the site, and he told me everything I needed to know about CBNK 2.
- BetaM: It's thank to his dedicated efforts and data mining that we know exactly what happens every time a Crash game gets patched.
- Bitmap: Nothing says enthusiasm like finding the first images and information about the cancelled DS version of Crash Tag Team Racing. If not for Bitmap, we may have never seen any of it.
- Bruno: One of the old Record Book evaluators who's also submitted various pictures, not the least of which are all the screenshots from CBNK3D and CBNK 2.
- Byebyeblimps: Another ex-Record Book evaluator. His research on Time Trials has made the Record Book a much better place.
- Calculon559: The N. Sane Trilogy section wouldn't have been complete without the gorgeous screenshots he provided.
- Charles Zembillas: One of the original character designers for the series has participated in an interview and provided a lot details about the franchise's conception. He continues to post artwork on his blog to this day, often Crash-related.
- Crasharki: His many model rips have made the N. Cyclopedia much neater. You can find his entire gallery here.
- Crashb648: A good friend who is always ready to help. I can't begin to tell you how much his feedback has improved the site. He often covers various video games and TV shows on his site, both Crash-related and otherwise.
- CrashRatchetFan: A talented artist who managed to link the community to the original artists for the series, Joe Pearson and Charles Zembillas (he also got an interview with the latter).
- David Siller: The executive producer for the original Crash Bandicoot is not only a great, respectable person, but he also submitted many concepts and development stories unheard of until then.
- Dingodile555: My friend had a gba game called Crash Advance 4 and the controls were A to spin, B to jump. It had long and extremely difficult levels in it. He told me his aunt in Saudi Arabia sent him it but now he has lost and tells me he bought it in Game and the box had Crash holding a wumpa fruit in the cover. Has anyone else heard of this game?
- Dri: A Polish fan who goes above and beyond to not only collect obscure Crash games, but also describe them in detail so that these amazing pieces of history can be documented for posterity. Without his help, a lot of stuff would have been lost to time!
- drx: A famous prototype collector who not only submitted the first screenshots and information about the original Crash Bandicoot beta, but also released it to the public for everyone to find unused content in.
- Edgar "Smaz" Duncan: Literally the first Crash fan I've ever met online, and we're still very close to this day. He's written countless guides for Crash Mania and provided a ton of material for everyone to enjoy. He's also the talented author of the book Band Cramp and the game Hudokai.
- Egor-miheev: The official Russian translator for the site. Спасибо!
- Ermelator: The site's resident dedicated Russian translator, and one of the cool people who are bringing Crash to more fans around the world!
- FierceTheBandit: Crash collector extraordinaire, Fiercey's one of the many great friends I've made online, and he's supplied the site with tons of merchandise pictures and Japanese paraphernalia, not the least of which are the scans for the Crash Bandicoot manga (itself translated by SnowLady4Ever).
- Guy: A dedicated Crash fan and part-time hacker who has corrected many mistakes in the site, thanks to being filled with determination (as well as an unhealthy obsession with Subway).
- Hacc: If you can't tell by the username, he is a hacker, and a really good one at that. Hacc has uncovered a lot of the development history behind some of the Crash games by hacking them, and he also created all the GameShark/CodeBreaker codes you see in the site.
- iSwamp: Besides submitting some general content, he also contacted Mark Cerny and Jon Burton, who provided many details regarding the development of The Wrath of Cortex.
- Jan Iwanek: A dedicated reader who has caught and corrected several typos and mistakes around the site.
- Jason Rubin: One of the co-founders of Naughty Dog, Jason offered to do an interview regarding the original Crash games describing a lot of things we never knew about before.
- Jeff Solway: One of the 3D artists at Radical Entertainment during their time with Crash, he offered several 3D models to the site for everyone to see.
- Joe Pearson: This amazing animator co-created the Crash Bandicoot universe, which alone is enough to be thankful for, and he also participated in an interview while providing never-before-seen concept art.
- Josh Mancell: The original composer for the games is a very fun person who always keeps in touch with his fans and even did an interview for the site. You can listen to his music (including original high-quality Crash stuff) in his SoundCloud page.
- Jon Burton: Like the rest of Traveller's Tales, the founder of the company, Jon Burton, is a very nice and talented person. Not only did he provide some insight into The Wrath of Cortex's development, but he also sent in the original pitch video for the game.
- JumpButton: A very close friend I've known ever since I first joined the online fandom. He's always been invaluable to the site, thanks in part to his reporting prowess and for establishing the connection between the developers and Activision to the fandom. You can always count on him for news about Crash Bandicoot. His page, BroughtBackBandicoot, and his fan game, Crystal's Wrath, are a testament to his love for the series.
- Keiji Dragon: Not only did Keiji submit a lot of prototype images and videos to the site, but he also conducted an interview with Josh Mancell.
- Keith Webb: Crash fans know him better as SpaceCat, the legendary Twinsanity concept artist who provided countless images and information about Twinsanity's development, along with stuff from games that were never released.
- KokoB: The official translator for the site's Greek version. She's helping Crash Mania reaching even more fans out there.
- Kirsten Forbes: Formerly a producer at Radical Entertainment, Kirsten always found some time for interviews, support, and generally helping the site any way she could. A mere paragraph can't describe how much she did for Crash Mania.
- Lex Lang: You should know him as the voice behind everyone's favorite evil scientist, Dr. Neo Cortex. Lex Lang participated in an interview (sadly written, or we would have asked him to do the voice), and he's always eager to reprise his role and discuss the best ways to destroy bandicoots with his fans.
- Lolwutburger: If there's anyone who can extract and rig 3D models the fun way, it's him. It's thanks to his work that the majority of the 2019 character models are on the N. Cyclopedia.
- LXShadow: When it comes to hacking Crash games, few people can compare with LXShadow. He's a good friend who I've always enjoyed discussing The Wrath of Cortex with, if only because he's so passionate about his finds within the game's code.
- Marc Baril: The composer behind the Crash Bandicoot games during Radical's stay is as cool as his own music, which you can tell from the interview he participated in.
- Mark Cerny: A producer and designer in the original Crash games, he was kind enough to give us some insight about his plans for the PlayStation 2 game that eventually became The Wrath of Cortex.
- Motwera: Your go-to guy for Crash Bandicoot news of any sort. He's been invaluable when it comes to documenting some of the more recent merchandise and events, among other things. His site, Crashy News, is the best way to stay up to date with the franchise.
- nicotoutcourt: The site's official French translator and the friend who gave me the push I needed to make Crash Mania multilingual. Merci beaucoup!
- Paul Gardner: Better known as FakeNina among Crash fans, he and Keith Webb delighted us with tons of unseen concepts and material from Crash Twinsanity. He's a really nice guy who is currently working on an original game called Ghost of a Tale.
- Radical Entertainment: One of the most supportive studios behind the Crash Bandicoot games, the people at Radical were always extremely friendly and helpful, not only participating in a lot of interviews and Q&As, but also providing a lot of material for the site. This includes Glenn Dphrepaulezz, Bob Churchill, Chris Mitchell, Dan Roarty, Des Hinkson, Joe McGinn, and Nick Undern, among others already mentioned.
- Samno: A good friend and pen pal who's submitted various images and notes to the site, including some great 3D model and render pictures for the N. Cyclopedia.
- SassyCrashy: The Arabic Crash fans are now able to understand Crash Mania in full thanks to his awesome translations.
- Stayinmilk: When it comes to writing transcripts, no one compares to Stayinmilk. He also submitted a lot of trivia and helped out with the names for the Japanese voice actors.
- Tara McKee: One of my oldest and closest friends within the Crash community, she's provided many great pictures for the site and helped in various ways over the years. Her beautiful art can be seen in her web site, including a lot of Crash-related stuff.
- Venusy: Asides from being a friend and moderator at Crash Mania's old forum, Venusy also used to contribute with general content.
- Wickon: The hard-working and passionate translator who's behind all the Hungarian texts in the site (and also the first person to volunteer for a localization).
- Wumpa Gem: A French fan and artist who provided a lot of the N. Cyclopedia pictures for the N. Sane Trilogy.
