Once a peaceful marsupial, Koala Kong became one of the first moderately successful subjects of Dr. Neo Cortex's mutation process. What he lacks in brains he makes up for in a hulking frame and tremendous strength. Tiny Tiger has essentially replaced him as Cortex's go-to dumb mountain of muscles.

- Kong is one of three characters in the series whose naming scheme is inverted (his first name is his species, rather than his surname). The other two are the Komodo Brothers.
- Kong was meant to have a more significant appearance in Crash Twinsanity. He was supposed to be the railroad engineer for his own train, the Super Kong X-Press, and chase after Crash and Cortex. This would have marked his first speaking appearance.

Kong's chest fur is now the same color as the rest of his fur. He lost the black hair on top of his head and his eyes are completely yellow. Kong's nose is brown and smaller, and he's wearing spiked bracelets. Like all other characters in the game, he has five fingers. Let's hope he finds a bathroom quickly.
