Les créateurs de Crash - Introduction

Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin at E3 1996.In the Summer of 1994, Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin, the founding members of Naughty Dog, were busy thinking of a way to create the next big thing in video games. 3D had just become a stable feature in some genres, but there were still no platformers that made full use of that potential. They were confident that they could be pioneers in that regard, so they set out to gather more people for their team and began the new project. This eventually became Crash Bandicoot, Naughty Dog's first big hit.

The successful launch of Crash Bandicoot can be attributed to many things. Among innovative graphics and its bold transition of platforming mechanics to 3D, the game had a lot of great ideas contributed by some very talented people. Naughty Dog and everyone who worked with them gave their best to come up with a game that would be remembered for years to come, and you can't simply attribute the game's success to a fragment of this team. It was, after all, a collaborative effort.

It's time to learn more about the development of the game that started it all. This is the story of the men and women behind the bandicoot.
