Dr. Neo Cortex's best friend is a red gun that shoots concentrated blasts of plasma, which come in various types with distinct behaviors. Though primarily designed to vaporize, it can also be set to stun. One of the icons on its display suggests some sort of love ray, but it's best not to think about it.
